When we arrived after another spring training baseball game
the place was kind of busy but not completely packed. We were seated quickly
then waited for a while and then had our drink orders taken and then it seemed
like we had to wait for a long time and then eventually we had dinner orders
taken; Mom ordered the pulled pork ($20), Dad ordered the sausage platter ($18),
and I ordered the half slab of baby back ribs ($22), all of these entrees came
with two sides.
Then we waited a while
before our waitress brought out a basket of cornbread rounds. These were really
good as they were when we visited their original location a few years ago. After a bit longer of waiting, our food
arrived.
Mom liked her pulled pork quite
a bit and for her two sides she had the pecan slaw which she really enjoyed and
veggies for her other side which were peppers and onions and a few other
veggies.
Dad’s sausage platter he thought was good but not great. He had the mac & cheese which he liked
quite a bit and potato salad which he thought was alright.
My baby back ribs were excellent and some of
the best ribs I think I've ever had and they fell right off the bone. For my
sides I had mac & cheese which was creamy, gooey and delicious and very
filling. I also had the pecan slaw which was good, but I didn't really end up
eating too much of it not because I don't like it but because I had so much
food and I ran out of space. The side portions were quite large so you
definitely got your money’s worth and they were all really quite good. Once we
were done eating our waitress dropped off the check and a bag of mini cinnamon
donuts which we ate later and were really good as well and a perfect ending to
a perfect meal.
