We were early for dinner so the place was not so busy. We
were seated right away and the same guy who seated us was our waiter, he was
very nice and friendly and did a good job.
He took our drink orders which were
all three cokes and he dropped off some chips and salsa which was some good
stuff that we all enjoyed. Then we ordered I ordered a pick three combo with a
beef enchilada, a crispy chile relleno and a tamale. Mom ordered the chile
relleno plate with one soft and one crispy relleno. And dad ordered a chimichanga
of some sort. Soon after this the food arrived on square plates. Mom and mine both came with rice and beans and
guacamole which were all pretty good.
On my plate my beef enchilada had kind of
a different sauce on it maybe a mole-ish sauce and there were some white pieces
in the beef filling and I just assumed they were onions but after I bit into it
I realized it was potato. I thought the chili relleno was a pretty good one and
actually had a bit more heat than most, but still not my favorite I've ever
had. The tamale was a chicken tamale which was nice and soft and covered in
green chili and was very tasty. When I was full and about halfway through the
plate I asked for a box.
Mom didn't know which relleno she liked best, but she
did enjoy her meal very much
as did dad with his chimichanga
We were very happy with our dinner at Casa
Gutierrez and would definitely return.
