I have never really had Hawaiian food before and was
interested in trying it out. I’ve had
Korean Bulgogi before but wasn’t sure how it compared to the Hawaiian version.
I decided to get Mix Plate #2 which came with Bulgogi and Chicken Katsu. This plate came with two scoops of white rice,
macaroni salad and also barbecue sauce for the Katsu chicken. I thought the Bulgogi
tasted all right but it didn’t seem like it was very seasoned or marinated just
basically grilled meat. It was also very tough and hard to chew. The Chicken
Katsu was cut into strips and easy to eat. The outside breading was nice and
crispy and the barbecue sauce with it was good but it just tasted like regular
barbecue sauce not anything very different. The rice was plain but okay, the
macaroni salad was all right. It also had potatoes in it which I don’t know if
that’s normal or not, but I thought it was the best part of it. Also on the
plate was a little piece of pineapple.
This was good but I wish there would’ve been more of it. They also had
fortune cookies. I don’t know if that’s normal either. The food here didn’t excite me too much and I
don’t really want to return.
