Lindquist Field - Ogden, UT

July 22 and 23 2019

The minor league field that is home to the Rookie League Ogden Raptors.  We saw two games while in Ogden.

On the first night I had a slice of pizza from the Lucky Slice Pizza stand for $4.  This was a huge slice that was hot and very good.

The second night was taco Tuesday with dollar tacos. These were plain crispy tacos which were a good deal but weren’t very good.

Two Doors Down - Cheyenne Wyoming

June 27, 2019

After a day at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens we stopped by for a burger. We parked a block away from the place in a public parking lot. When we arrived early at about 4 PM there were a decent amount of people inside.  When we entered an employee opened the door for us and explained how everything worked and the set up. We went over to the counter to order. Dad and I both ordered the bacon cheeseburger.  Mom had the avocado bacon cheeseburger.. When we ordered the lady at the counter asked if we wanted ranch with our fries so we thought we might as well. After we ordered we filled our drinks for the first time and they said they would refill them after that.

Soon after they delivered our burgers.

I thought this was a pretty good burger.  It had decent bacon and cheese on top with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise so it was kind a like a BLT on a burger and was pretty tasty.

Mom’s avocado bacon cheeseburger was similar but had avocado spread added to it.  The fries were bottomless steak fries they were basic steak fries that were not evenly seasoned and not the most exciting.  Multiple of the employees helped us throughout our meal.  One of the waitresses that helped us was very helpful and she came by to thank us as she was leaving at five o’clock when a whole new set of wait staff came in. We were very happy with our meal at Two Doors Down and would definitely return.

Rosario's Peruvian restaurant - Longmont Colorado.

May 15, 2019

I have never had Peruvian food but a friend told me about this place so my parents and I decided to try it out.

We got there about 4 PM and the place was empty but we had nice friendly service. It was in a strip mall but the inside was nice and had a simple decor and was painted red and white with pictures of Peru on the walls.

I ordered Peruvian tour plate number six which included a Papa Rellena, Aji de Gallina and Tallarin Saltado. Mom and Dad both got Peruvian tour plate number five which included Lomo Saltado and Tallarin Saltado

The Papa Rellena was really good. It was basically a really good baked potato stuffed with a meat mixture that included a few peas, carrots and hardboiled egg pieces. Then was battered and fried making it a little crispy around the outside.   Aji de Gallina was a chicken dish with a creamy Aji yellow pepper sauce and topped with a hardboiled egg slice and an olive. I thought this was excellent and Tallarin Saltado a beef noodle dish which tasted kind of like lo mein.

Tour plate number five had Lomo Saltado which was stir-fried beef with onions and french fries and it also had the same Tallarin Saltado I had.
Each plate was 16.99.

The food at Rosario‘s was great! My whole meal was excellent and I can’t wait to return.

Regional fast food: Zaxby‘s chicken fingers

August 16, 2018

Zaxby‘s chicken is all over the south plus a few locations in Utah for some reason which is where we found this one.

We all three ordered a four-piece plate that came with french fries, coleslaw and dipping sauce. the dipping sauce was identical to Raising Cane‘s chicken fingers. I really enjoyed these chicken fingers I think it’s even better than Raising Cane‘s with better chicken and fries.
