Lost Texan BBQ - Pleasant View, UT

This place was not so busy but was small and crowded.  When we got up to the counter we each grabbed a tray. I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich with potato salad. Mom had a pulled pork sandwich with pork they scooped from bottom of pan with coleslaw and dad also had a pulled pork from a new pan with cheddar ranch smashed potatoes.  We took our trays and found a table. These sandwiches were big and for a fairly cheap price. 

 

My brisket was okay but was drenched in sauce which didn’t help it any. The potato salad was just average.   

 Mom and dad liked their sandwiches Mom’s pulled pork from the bottom was wet and dads from the new pan he thought was a little dry. Mom’s coleslaw was okay and dad’s potatoes were pretty good. There were also multiple types of sauce on the table. I’m not sure if the Lost Texan BBQ is lost by being in Utah or because of having sauce on their bbq but either way it wasn’t all that great and not my favorite.

This was an order at the counter type place so we went up to the counter. I ordered the chicken skewer which came with three sides. I picked mashed potatoes and gravy, black beans and fried bananas.  Mom had the chicken skewer also but with a salad, veggies and mashed potatoes and gravy.  Dad had the steak skewer with fries, rice and a salad.  

 

 I thought that the chicken skewer was excellent. This was basically grilled chicken but tasted really good.  The mashed potatoes and gravy were pretty good and the black beans were basically like a soup and also very good. The fried bananas which I wasn’t quite sure what was coming but they basically tasted like a warm banana pie with a little bit of breading on the outside.

 

Dad thought the steak was really good like prime rib and thought the fries and rice were good but didn’t like the salad.  Mom really liked all of her meal and sides except for the black olives in the salad.

This place had very good prices, great food and gave you a lot of food. The staff was friendly and all of us thought this place was excellent and would definitely go back if we could.
