Gio's Pizza– Anthem Arizona

March 18, 2017

On the way out of Phoenix and after waiting in a traffic jam for a while we ended up hungry and we stopped in the north part of Phoenix in anthem. We decided to get some slices of pizza.  The guy at the counter went through all the kinds of pizza they had available and said you could add toppings to anyone of them. My mom and I both got a slice of margarita pizza and my dad had a slice of the meat pizza.  After they put the slices back in the oven to heat up it was time to eat.

This margarita pizza was alright and the slices were good-sized. I liked the sauce and it had mozzarella and basil on top.

Dad’s meat pizza had plenty of meat and he thought it was alright.  This was decent pizza, but not really the greatest pizza I've ever had. But it was pizza by the slice so it wasn't as exactly fresh pizza and I'm sure if I would go back and get a whole pizza I'm sure it would be quite a bit better.

Egg N' Joe– Gilbert Arizona

 March 17, 2017

When we arrived the place was full and we had to wait a while out front, but this must be common because there was a water dispenser set out front where everyone is waiting.   Eventually we were seated.  I ordered an orange juice which I thought was quite good.

And soon after that I ordered the Bacon & Eggs with my eggs over medium this came with hash browns along with a biscuit. The hash browns   I thought were perfectly crispy and really delicious and they also had some pretty good bacon.  The menu had a Pillsbury logo next to the biscuits so they were not so great.  Mom had the same breakfast or at least a similar one

and dad had the Northwest Blueberry Pancakes that came with 2 eggs and your choice of meat.  He had his eggs scrambled and sausage for his meat.  They both enjoyed their breakfasts and thought everything was pretty good.  I enjoyed egg n Joe and think it’s a perfect place for a good solid breakfast

All Pierogi Kitchen & Euro Market– Mesa Arizona

March 16, 2017

When we arrived it was not really full, but we had to stand in the front area and wait a bit until we were seated and we were seated in the back right by the kitchen which wasn't the most convenient place for me get to or sit at. Eventually our waitress came to take our orders

I had the six Pierogi plate and got half cheddar and potato and the other half I got cabbage and mushrooms these came with little dishes of bacon, sour cream and caramelized onions.. I really enjoyed the cabbage and mushrooms the most.  I thought the potato cheddar ones were good too but were rather filling and filled me up really fast.

Dad had the kielbasa and pierogis plate that also came with some sort of sauerkraut stew and he didn’t particularly like it but I thought was good although I wouldn’t exactly call it a stew it just seemed like regular sauerkraut. Mom also had a pierogi plate with I can't remember what kinds.

Before our meals came they brought a basket of bread which was just okay nothing too exciting and a salad which had some sort of vinaigrette type dressing that was little bit different but okay.  I ate until I was stuffed and couldn’t hold anymore and wasn’t able to finish my plate.  When it was time to pay for our meal they brought out a tablet with a credit card scanner connected to it.  I really enjoyed our meal here and I can’t wait to return especially for some more cabbage and mushroom pierogis.
