Anthony’s pizza and pasta – Denver Colorado

February 28, 2017

My parents and I stopped here for a pretty early dinner at about 4 o’clock. So as you would expect the place was empty, but a view people came in while we were there. We went up to the counter to order and we had a coupon for five dollars off if you bought two one topping 18 inch pizzas. So we figured we would just eat what we could and take the rest home. So we ordered a 18 inch sausage pizza ($18.10) and a 18 inch pepperoni pizza ($18.10). Along with three fountain drinks ($1.79 each). So we went to fill our drinks and sat and waited a little bit and then out comes

a huge pepperoni pizza which covered a large amount of the table along with some paper plates. I was really surprised at how big the pizza was and knew it definitely wasn’t an 18 inch pizza and was quite a bit bigger. They also said the other pizza would be out in a bit, but I was wondering where they were going to put it. Then we started to try to figure out how to eat it since the slices were so big and way bigger than your plate so it was kind of interesting and I ended up having to cut off the end off to make it easier to eat and then had to definitely fold the rest and it worked okay. A little bit into eating this they brought the other pizza out and just sat it on the next table. I ended up just having two slices of the pepperoni and mom and dad both had some of each. This pizza I thought was all right, but not really that special it was nice and thin and the crust tasted all right. The cheese and pepperoni on top was all right the cheese and toppings weren’t piled on too thick but the slices were just so big that you got plenty of cheese and toppings. There was also a decent amount of sauce which tasted all right too. Everything about the pizza I thought was just about average or slightly above. The only thing I thought that stood out was just the size of it. I was expecting the pizza to be an 18 inch pizza but it was definitely bigger than that, so I did an Internet search the next day and found straight from their website that they stretch their pizza out to 22 to 24 inches for their eat in customers. So we ended up quite a bit more pizza than we could handle, but there’s always tomorrow and maybe the next day to eat the rest.  The leftovers turned out pretty good and maybe even better than the first night. Anthony’s pizza might not be the greatest pizza ever but you can get a decent pizza that is even bigger if you eat in the restaurant and had a very good price for that much pizza.
