Regional fast food: Blake's Lotaburger - Bernalillo New Mexico and Gallup New Mexico

For years I've seen Blake's Lotaburger in New Mexico but I had never stopped at one but finally we stopped in on our way through Gallup and Bernalillo New Mexico. They have burgers with cheese, bacon and green chili as a topping options. I went with green chili and cheese and I got this along with a drink and fries. 

 

This was a basic fast food burger and not too exciting by itself and was topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle, mustard and onions. Then when I added the cheese and green chili it made it excellent. The green chili had quite a bit of heat to it and I’m glad I had the cheese to cool it down a little bit. 

The fries I thought were pretty good too especially the seasoned ones which were kind of a battered fry. These two trips to Blake's Lotaburger were successful, it was excellent and I definitely would go back.

We walked a few blocks from our hotel to get here. 

Dad ordered a cheesy pig burger, 

I had the slider version of this and mom ordered half a front runner chicken salad. Dad really liked his burger. I had the slider version and ordered two of them they were the same but didn’t have any of the veggie toppings. The burgers also came with a choice of homemade chips or fries. I went with homemade chips and thought they were really good and dad had the fries which he also enjoyed. 

Mom very much enjoyed her salad as well I thought the burgers were pretty good and I liked having a smaller option with the sliders.

We stopped here for a late lunch so the place wasn’t real full. When we got up to the counter I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and wanted fried okra to go with it but they were out of okra so I decided to get French fries instead. 

This was a pretty good pulled pork but not the greatest I’ve ever had. I really liked the French fries as well as all of their barbecue sauces.
